The Department for Transport (DfT) have announced they are extending the Plug-in Van and Truck Grant

Plug-in van and truck grant extended to at least 2027.

The Department for Transport Extends Electric Vehicle Grants to 2027
The UK government has confirmed continued funding for the plug-in van and truck grant scheme through at least 2027, offering discounts of up to £25,000 on electric commercial vehicles. This move supports thousands of drivers and businesses in reducing costs and transitioning to cleaner transport.

Boosting Business and Sustainability
Switching to electric could save businesses over £2,800 a year on fuel alone. The grant extension gives fleet operators – from large logistics firms to small tradespeople – the confidence to invest in electric vehicles, backed by recent investments in charging infrastructure and new EV incentives.

Driving Economic Growth and Cleaner Communities
With over 1.4 million EVs already on UK roads and more than 83,800 public chargepoints, the government’s support is helping to build a greener economy. Industry leaders like Amazon and Checkatrade have welcomed the news, highlighting the benefits for jobs, sustainability, and long-term business planning.
