We have extended RPS 247 to 31 July 2026
Other priorities have delayed work on the new standard rules for the use of IBAA and publication of the consultation response document. Resource should be released over the summer to progress this work, allowing publication of the SRs and RPS candidate waste exemption, followed by early withdrawal of RPS 247.
We are near to an finalising a sampling and testing protocol with MIBAAA (Manufacturers of IBAA Association) as an alternative to WM3 requirements. Once we are over the line, we will share and follow up with a Team Meeting invite to explain and take questions. The protocol will then be reviewed once 12 months of sampling and testing results are available.
