On 17th July 2025 the National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority (NISTA) published its first interactive 10-year Infrastructure Pipeline digital portal.
NISTA stated the portal will be regularly updated in real time, currently covering 780 schemes. Each entry includes details such as projected expenditure, current status, expected completion dates, and the methodology behind the Pipeline, along with how it will develop over time.
This initial version reflects public spending plans set out in the most recent Spending Review. A further update is scheduled for early 2026, incorporating additional information following business planning across government departments in response to Spending Review outcomes.
NISTA emphasised that the Pipeline does not represent new government policies or investment commitments, but rather provides an up-to-date overview of the status of existing projects.
The launch follows the Government’s announcement last month of at least £725 billion in infrastructure spending over the next 10 years, as part of a shift towards more strategic planning and delivery of major projects.
