The government’s Plan for Drivers (October 2023) supports zero-emission driving by boosting EV chargepoint infrastructure and consulting on faster approvals for installations. EV chargepoint operators' highway access during street works is under review. With ambitious net-zero goals by 2050.
This consultation document presents a proposal for EV CPOs to be brought into the street works permitting regime, as most currently need to apply for a section 50 licence.
