Street works Access : Electric vehicle charging point operators
The government will proceed with the proposals outlined in the consultation.
When parliamentary time allows, the government will amend legislation to:
- allow access for EV chargepoint operators to street works permits and Street Manager
- clarify that only permits are needed and that there is no need for any additional licences under S115E of the Highways Act 1980
It will also update statutory guidance.
